Tree and Shrub Pruning
The most important ingredient for plant health is healthy soils. Soils in a natural setting (forest) are alive with microorganisms that create a symbiotic relationship with plant roots. This critical relationship is often lacking in your landscape. At Suntree we begin this process (of improving your soils around plants) with applications of organic materials such as microorganisms, organic amendments for these organisms, along with regular applications of a slow release fertilizer to help improve plant health and vigor. Our carefully selected material is injected into the root zone for immediate uptake, while also improving soil aeration at the same time.
Plant Health Care
Monitoring the health of trees and shrubs is key for preventative maintenance. Knowledge of the plant material, what insects and diseases infect specific plants, and how to address problems before they are detrimental to the plant are ingredients for a healthy landscape. When a problem is discovered it is our goal to choose the most effective control with the least amount of risk to people and the environment.
Insect and Disease Management
Controlling insects and diseases is sometimes necessary. We must manage those insects and diseases when they are at damaging levels on your plants. When choosing materials to control these problems, we use carefully selected and biodegradable materials. As part of our Plant Health Monitor Program, these problems are detected early and treated.
